BIO

A Polish cellist, Patrycja Skowrońska started playing at the age of 6 and studied cello and piano at the State Music School in Olsztyn for 12 years. She also developed a solid understanding of music theory and history during that time. Aside from winning a number of Polish and international competitions, Patrycja played as a soloist with the Warmian-Masurian Philharmonic Orchestra.
Patrycja has been a resident of the Netherlands for over seven years where she was able to acquire her both degrees at Codarts University in Rotterdam. Bachelor with Cum Laude honors under the supervision of Jeroen den Herder, as well as complete her master's studies with guidance of Herre-Jan Stegenga. Currently, Patrycja is actively involved on several projects such as Smashed Wood Quartet which combines different musical styles alongside various other groups. 
She also holds membership in PLANKTON ORCHESTRA - an international collaborating initiative between musicians from different countries into an unusual orchestra that offers a modern sound fusion across different styles.
Teaching has always been a passion of hers and she devotes herself to it every day. She loves helping students learn and grow. Her unique teaching style engages students and helps them understand complex topics. She is an excellent teacher and her students love her classes.
